Storing Leather

It's
getting hot and your leather needs to be stored properly. Be sure you clean your leather professionally before putting it away otherwise stains will set in. Remove any food in the pockets or they will attract insects. Stuff your leather with acid-free paper (do not use newspaper). Leather needs to breathe so do not use plastic to cover your coat because mold and mildew are attracted to the dampness. Instead, use a fabric big enough to cover your leather to protect it from the dust. Use sturdy wood hangers and store it in a cool dry place. |
